Under the Government + Next initiative, the Minister of the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, the Minister of Education, João Costa, the Secretary of State for Planning, Eduardo Pinheiro, and the Member of the People's Policy Committee 2030, Joaquim Bernardo, visited the Pombal Technological and Artistic School (ETAP) to learn about the projects supported under Portugal 2020.

O relatório da Comissão sobre a evolução do emprego e da situação social na Europa (ESDE) de 2023, revela que as taxas de emprego atingiram um nível recorde de 74,6 %, com 213,7 milhões de pessoas empregadas em 2022, e as taxas de desemprego ficaram num mínimo histórico de 6,2 %.

A taxa de desemprego registou uma redução em maio, em Portugal e na zona euro, chegando aos 6,4 e 6,5%, respetivamente. Na zona euro a queda foi de 2 pontos percentuais (pp) face a maio de 2022, segundo os dados do Eurostat. Em Portugal, o desemprego recuou 0,1 pontos percentuais (pp) em relação a abril.
