The Network for Employability and Social Economy (REES) was created by Resolution No 1/2014 of CIC Portugal 2020 of 11 November 2014, under the provisions of Article 61(11) of Decree-Law No 137/2014 of 12 September 2014.

With a view to ensuring the functional articulation of the various interlocutors in the field of Social Inclusion and Employment, it pursues the following objectives:

• ensure coordination between the different members of the REES in the search for solutions to the challenges posed to the operationalisation of programming instruments;
• promote the coherence and harmonisation of management, monitoring and control procedures by promoting their rationalisation and concerted simplification;
• promote networking with a view to disseminating good practice;
• Contribute to an improvement in performance in the implementation of the objectives proposed in the Partnership Agreement.

The composition of the REES shall be as follows:

• The Chair of the Steering Committee of the Thematic Operational Programme Social Inclusion and Employment, which he coordinates;
• the Chair of the Steering Committee of the Thematic Operational Programme Human Capital;
• The Chair of the Executive Committee of the Regional Operational Programme of the Azores;
• The Chair of the Executive Committee of the Alentejo Regional Operational Programme;
• The Chair of the Executive Committee of the Algarve Regional Operational Programme;
• The Chair of the Executive Committee of the Regional Operational Programme of the Centre;
• The Chair of the Lisbon Regional Operational Programme Steering Committee;
• The Chair of the Steering Committee of the Regional Operational Programme of Madeira;
• The Chair of the Northern Regional Operational Programme Steering Committee;
• One representative from each of the intermediate bodies approved by the Interministerial Coordination Commission of Portugal 2020;
• A representative of the Agency for Development and Cohesion, I.P., as the coordinating body for cohesion policy funds.
• a representative of the National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education;
• A representative of the mission structure Portugal Inovação Social.

At the invitation of the Coordinator of the REES, representatives of other public administration bodies or entities, personalities or specialists with specific competences in public policies related to the field of Social Inclusion and/or Employment or to the agenda may also participate, when the nature of the matter justifies it.
